What 'no external sutures' means

The clinic performs 4th-generation labiaplasty, a laser-based technique that closes the incision without external sutures. Because there are no external sutures, there is no stitch-removal visit. Earlier techniques trim or wedge-excise the excess tissue with a scalpel or scissors and close the edge with absorbable or non-absorbable stitches. Stitches hold the edge while it heals; they can also leave small marks where they pass through the skin, and non-absorbable ones need a removal visit.

In the 4th-generation technique the laser both cuts and seals. The edge is shaped in the same session and closed without external thread. For a patient flying home, the practical difference is the follow-up schedule: there is no stitch-removal appointment, and the check before travel focuses on healing and hygiene.

What the technique does not change: tissue still needs to heal, swelling still takes time to settle, and the final shape depends on your anatomy and on healing, which varies from person to person.

The six steps

   The shape is planned with you, standing and lying, and marked.
2. 02 Anesthesia
   An anesthesia plan chosen for you under the four-step protocol.
3. 03 Laser incision
   Excess tissue is removed along the planned line with laser.
4. 04 Shaping
   The edge is refined so both sides match as closely as anatomy allows.
5. 05 Closure without external sutures
   The edge is sealed rather than stitched from outside.
6. 06 Final check and instructions
   Bleeding and symmetry are checked; you receive hygiene and activity instructions in English.

Recovery and flying home

No overnight stay is usually needed.

Most patients are cleared to fly after None days.

• Day 0Procedure. Rest at the clinic, then return to your accommodation, or stay overnight in a recovery suite if planned.
• Days 1–3Swelling peaks and settles. Cool compresses, loose clothing, gentle rinsing after using the toilet.
• Day 3–5Check-up at the clinic; we confirm when you can fly.
• Weeks 2–6No intercourse, cycling or tight clothing until cleared. Swelling continues to settle over several weeks.

Recovery rooms are private single-occupancy suites. Patients have a 24-hour nurse contact line after surgery. Results and recovery vary from person to person.

For international patients

Consultations are available in English. We prepare the documents international insurers typically require: an itemized English receipt, a medical certificate, procedure codes and a completed claim form. Your written plan gives the number of days to allow in Seoul. Send photographs only if you are comfortable doing so.
